Designing today on the <a href="https://artesprix.com/blogs/blog">Artesprix
Blog</a>! I have a fun <a href="https://artesprix.com/collections/sublimation-blanks/products/poly-canvas-tote-bag">Tote
Bag</a> project to share today using the awesome new <a href="https://artesprix.com/collections/acrylic-paint/products/sublimation-acrylic-paint-set">Sublimation
Acrylic Paint</a> which is a great form of their Iron On Ink. I had so many fun
ideas run through my head when I got this awesome paint, especially because it
seems I’ve been doing a lot of paint projects lately. I’ve also been using my
Cricut for many projects so I thought it would be fun to combine paint and my
Cricut machine. </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDsbqfyf3O8RTEB-zns5tXizGci6Nf5_cKHimqOodTD60FMLKci2uqatuHT6MZaREQnzr97gdGwUUV-0N696aX1QCqDASffCBUUa9O_mKC3RLP2Akj57bjAaOMsKsBEYcJ30mR_a98V8-YV5I1l79FNOpno9uxLwKLIQI_j_cwPLS6E3ROPGFCHLbKZQ/s4032/Photo11.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDsbqfyf3O8RTEB-zns5tXizGci6Nf5_cKHimqOodTD60FMLKci2uqatuHT6MZaREQnzr97gdGwUUV-0N696aX1QCqDASffCBUUa9O_mKC3RLP2Akj57bjAaOMsKsBEYcJ30mR_a98V8-YV5I1l79FNOpno9uxLwKLIQI_j_cwPLS6E3ROPGFCHLbKZQ/s320/Photo11.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /> <br /><p></p><p class="MsoNormal">First, I grabbed a sheet of plain copy paper out of my
printer. One of the things I love the most about Artesprix Iron On Inks is the
fact that I don’t need to have expensive equipment in order to create some
great sublimation projects. Next I grabbed a brush and started making random
brush strokes all over my sheet of paper. I did one color at a time (red,
yellow, and blue) and then just kept filling it in and allowing the wet colors
to blend a bit in spots. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhS3S7svfP-sivu1uHBZv7GNGn6JXZ7SgeScXxHIKx6CYInCWjtVvXcLp73XJvmdaWQvo_qFdEZ6VBmG8NtpEE74s_8L0Kp39mMwLUqGGXDL5-AuJFPnPVszsfJF-474ko5EodL04_0KEXbsOK51ImFC4ZCmKx_-PzSftB4540S8ZrLFuP5oLj3iYAew/s4032/Photo1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhS3S7svfP-sivu1uHBZv7GNGn6JXZ7SgeScXxHIKx6CYInCWjtVvXcLp73XJvmdaWQvo_qFdEZ6VBmG8NtpEE74s_8L0Kp39mMwLUqGGXDL5-AuJFPnPVszsfJF-474ko5EodL04_0KEXbsOK51ImFC4ZCmKx_-PzSftB4540S8ZrLFuP5oLj3iYAew/s320/Photo1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Next I let that dry overnight, just to make sure everything
was completely dry. Then I did up my design on my Cricut. I used a rectangle
shape and added a notebook paper edge for some fun, then added “My Stuff” in a
fun font. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOWMMIzqhiuTATKxCSdZNifUOxmLUHL2cyw0DW5f2JSr3hiRjU6MDk3vLwkDaNrl6GoRgWKvNvUoI0BTt7mU_D_OjL21hdQzRofs7BkjyoHhorlqIx9vwJ_OVlIcBDHQbg8B7OnR4v5lItWeH6KPZ_5Isr5BBUe0qxqpf-cOcVHi1Dk96ffwUQpz_U1g/s4032/Photo2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOWMMIzqhiuTATKxCSdZNifUOxmLUHL2cyw0DW5f2JSr3hiRjU6MDk3vLwkDaNrl6GoRgWKvNvUoI0BTt7mU_D_OjL21hdQzRofs7BkjyoHhorlqIx9vwJ_OVlIcBDHQbg8B7OnR4v5lItWeH6KPZ_5Isr5BBUe0qxqpf-cOcVHi1Dk96ffwUQpz_U1g/s320/Photo2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /> <br /><p class="MsoNormal">Then I set my Cricut to “Paper” and let it do it’s thing! If
you don’t have a Cricut, you could still do a fun border with punches and hand
cut the letters with an craft knife for a similar look. Something important to
note – cut it on the Mirror setting (or trace your letters backwards if you are
hand cutting)… </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHd_Z-BFGOG_r9hh5KvuGuHntBWpqbleumwYSeN0fgQ91c5kFDYMe5cUH7cJt1mfbkujsPGAkQKPg5oNnH9JQxLfMvoFLk-F5A_EMIclXNm9fbXkBqscvPQWD-TBMNsd5hyKkdN2GGmRqTimL8xyH6apMoZwI8WDU6RqE2v3lRkcDTWky4ujYxtQgmsQ/s4032/Photo3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHd_Z-BFGOG_r9hh5KvuGuHntBWpqbleumwYSeN0fgQ91c5kFDYMe5cUH7cJt1mfbkujsPGAkQKPg5oNnH9JQxLfMvoFLk-F5A_EMIclXNm9fbXkBqscvPQWD-TBMNsd5hyKkdN2GGmRqTimL8xyH6apMoZwI8WDU6RqE2v3lRkcDTWky4ujYxtQgmsQ/s320/Photo3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">And here you can see my design all cut out! Notice, I
totally forgot to Mirror my project, so make sure to Mirror or Reverse your
design.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_vcMt7e4xEPqbOFFGq5Q7dIYF6qB3ScV1ZGL3RWMBirR3Pgm0BN6Gizw24t4bOA4Joty35az1FozcUzxdNBY_oBxxc8dZhRH0SdLtMUh-CgHU6FTvSHJ1wtUPj4K0Xj3SK8jFYy-8nUAik0lt-zvgxH89J1yxCUPmUIe9LcNGBpfuVAmjWzPlPB8__A/s4032/Photo4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_vcMt7e4xEPqbOFFGq5Q7dIYF6qB3ScV1ZGL3RWMBirR3Pgm0BN6Gizw24t4bOA4Joty35az1FozcUzxdNBY_oBxxc8dZhRH0SdLtMUh-CgHU6FTvSHJ1wtUPj4K0Xj3SK8jFYy-8nUAik0lt-zvgxH89J1yxCUPmUIe9LcNGBpfuVAmjWzPlPB8__A/s320/Photo4.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> <p></p><p class="MsoNormal">Next you’re going to heat up your heat press – you’ll want
to check the exact temperature on your specific blank for this step. For this <a href="https://artesprix.com/collections/sublimation-blanks/products/poly-canvas-tote-bag">Tote
Bag</a>, Artesprix recommends 400 for 45 seconds with medium pressure. Because
this is a fabric item you will also want to lint roll before press. While your
press is heating up, you can add the <a name="_Hlk117156863"></a><a href="https://artesprix.com/collections/sublimation-supplies/products/protective-paper"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk117156863;">Protective Paper</span></a><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk117156863;"></span> to the inside of your bag to prevent
the ink from transferring to the other side.
</p><p class="MsoNormal"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDUlfSL8mEvm1RjbZxnCu3b_7uefpOTAhIERAeDBrg5BwcbFV_K7QTceBCbx-7ChwR32ke6Rtqbgca-FhzLyblRN_4pCOQgTC6YXIm3YZ3tA0_QqOG5yoMTbHyZSCN-pxy5nqd5JMBOdqRb0dA1ZfNuH4AanSS6VgPgY-8vBY93IAPgaqy-yStOKBo0g/s4032/Photo5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDUlfSL8mEvm1RjbZxnCu3b_7uefpOTAhIERAeDBrg5BwcbFV_K7QTceBCbx-7ChwR32ke6Rtqbgca-FhzLyblRN_4pCOQgTC6YXIm3YZ3tA0_QqOG5yoMTbHyZSCN-pxy5nqd5JMBOdqRb0dA1ZfNuH4AanSS6VgPgY-8vBY93IAPgaqy-yStOKBo0g/s320/Photo5.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">For fabric projects I like to use a temporary adhesive
spray, like you would use for a quilting pattern, to hold my design in place.
You can also just use <a href="https://artesprix.com/collections/sublimation-supplies/products/heat-tape">Heat
Tape</a>, but for this I wanted to make sure my decorative edge didn’t get out
of place. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHZBQ2toYWF4VKBXpljVSLrmhtOCUja9IgMPGhZgMmCFMIUC06XwtJ_R5Y09gnF7yUXWmZNwIUcxdnH-jmZToitzMxbzLPBnnDbDaAPgi8jsqQwiQd_gA0Thk8Vdarvxi0sgcG0fOKjfJBlC6OHii9XvGkh2WTkkSvlpdbRpb4Zcyfjpr9h6rIKXNf0g/s4032/Photo6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHZBQ2toYWF4VKBXpljVSLrmhtOCUja9IgMPGhZgMmCFMIUC06XwtJ_R5Y09gnF7yUXWmZNwIUcxdnH-jmZToitzMxbzLPBnnDbDaAPgi8jsqQwiQd_gA0Thk8Vdarvxi0sgcG0fOKjfJBlC6OHii9XvGkh2WTkkSvlpdbRpb4Zcyfjpr9h6rIKXNf0g/s320/Photo6.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Once it’s coated, you place it face down on to your <a href="https://artesprix.com/collections/sublimation-blanks/products/poly-canvas-tote-bag">Tote
Bag</a>. Then you want to add your <a href="https://artesprix.com/collections/sublimation-supplies/products/protective-paper">Protective
Paper</a> to the top of the design to protect your press. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEpAGZav4QkW1PbXI-6qvP-QuKyig5ABQsyMryUsna6AocvPxvZ32J7K55aJxOGsl18OKmnoj6cXzC_pk-7T5rGle7kBtLXivwS3aLlz1WM_ImruqcovH7ygojawsJEj9wXYfRU--JnXxoSySUfCzPZxKMvBBfcOS1cWsKE8w0YEez2ajfk1Ap6_SY9Q/s4032/Photo8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEpAGZav4QkW1PbXI-6qvP-QuKyig5ABQsyMryUsna6AocvPxvZ32J7K55aJxOGsl18OKmnoj6cXzC_pk-7T5rGle7kBtLXivwS3aLlz1WM_ImruqcovH7ygojawsJEj9wXYfRU--JnXxoSySUfCzPZxKMvBBfcOS1cWsKE8w0YEez2ajfk1Ap6_SY9Q/s320/Photo8.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Now you’ll want to put this on the press, your sublimation
sandwich should be, the <a href="https://artesprix.com/collections/sublimation-blanks/products/poly-canvas-tote-bag">Tote
Bag</a> with the <a href="https://artesprix.com/collections/sublimation-supplies/products/protective-paper">Protective
Paper</a> inside, then your design facedown on top, then the <a href="https://artesprix.com/collections/sublimation-supplies/products/protective-paper">Protective
Paper</a> sheet on top. If you have a pressing pillow you can use it under the
tote bag to ensure most even pressure, especially if you have a larger sized
press like the one shown. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJNcO4GO4Nkyo2eDVnShdonQ0OjmUvYtGLBLgE85kIOiF3M-gNACtgvUL4OwmwkVb4xlfwlVBRlLAO76CQafsX6HjqmnCOtxsAxXM9P-5EqIOyRNr0x1F2nZq6XIyEcaBixb6H6pDVG6myO7uyfRYZoseVecwHFCPf3UJPggQrap4yTyWpIArIgpwlcg/s4032/Photo9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJNcO4GO4Nkyo2eDVnShdonQ0OjmUvYtGLBLgE85kIOiF3M-gNACtgvUL4OwmwkVb4xlfwlVBRlLAO76CQafsX6HjqmnCOtxsAxXM9P-5EqIOyRNr0x1F2nZq6XIyEcaBixb6H6pDVG6myO7uyfRYZoseVecwHFCPf3UJPggQrap4yTyWpIArIgpwlcg/s320/Photo9.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Now you’ll press… you can dance a little jig or just dream
up the next amazing project you want to create – however you want to make 45
seconds pass is up to you! </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYCfIfpg1dSnDOZLeD28S6epO-d3qNi7Bv8bP1nw6vI6MItuPk4ornKrv54r0peGHg-S1X_fKDnU4cho5KG8hnEdNMd8pohhTmXLfCanQqY-su0Km_ry5p-foLPj8dJk0Wp6c8lE6UmuvH6mfY3oaf0gOul5H-b0DOMWdpRddMduGTYGRmDxdFFGtJhg/s4032/Photo10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYCfIfpg1dSnDOZLeD28S6epO-d3qNi7Bv8bP1nw6vI6MItuPk4ornKrv54r0peGHg-S1X_fKDnU4cho5KG8hnEdNMd8pohhTmXLfCanQqY-su0Km_ry5p-foLPj8dJk0Wp6c8lE6UmuvH6mfY3oaf0gOul5H-b0DOMWdpRddMduGTYGRmDxdFFGtJhg/s320/Photo10.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Then you will release the pressure and reveal your design.
One advantage to taping the design is you can lift a corner to peek and make
sure your design colors have fully transferred with out the danger of it
shifting on you. I was pretty confident in my design so I just revealed my
masterpiece! </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmjgkvy39mi7m2xDEf_GQce8nLvxxeXIgM_hQLLRXwo6GhKZO6QD4nysicJwLyY-HSMAbx8V2BqugGSNRZ6VToLEwmtA_kKcQiXWG-dn4ioXVk4dXTkAv5Xu3w3fFG88xk7E8Sk8mk8bI7xvlNMvC-WiOhieS3NzEZ9X2iBonz6MXRnBUTAT3aqlTZyg/s4032/Photo11.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmjgkvy39mi7m2xDEf_GQce8nLvxxeXIgM_hQLLRXwo6GhKZO6QD4nysicJwLyY-HSMAbx8V2BqugGSNRZ6VToLEwmtA_kKcQiXWG-dn4ioXVk4dXTkAv5Xu3w3fFG88xk7E8Sk8mk8bI7xvlNMvC-WiOhieS3NzEZ9X2iBonz6MXRnBUTAT3aqlTZyg/s320/Photo11.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Remember when I stressed the importance of mirroring? Well,
I mirrored my photo to show off my design. Yes, I did realize my error before I
pressed, but I LOVED what I did so much I realized that it is actually the
PERFECT design for my crazy, busy life, that I wouldn’t change for the world –
so I’m owning my awesome new tote bag for all my important stuff! </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhctbrriuS3MCdnWoU-wnoB02RoSw_M33xcxtwh66YeJL3rU7bjihXZjAzGJS7EdmllDFvNA0HH_1-hP0jRYiJ80lEFuEPSfIGMRmYCzznIG-N6CNuAAqKC956q6w0eyROZn_ifed9I_C90X9np7Y-eWH63nnCRGWCYL_N0dBg95cS0uCixi0y6lfUjeA/s4032/Photo12.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhctbrriuS3MCdnWoU-wnoB02RoSw_M33xcxtwh66YeJL3rU7bjihXZjAzGJS7EdmllDFvNA0HH_1-hP0jRYiJ80lEFuEPSfIGMRmYCzznIG-N6CNuAAqKC956q6w0eyROZn_ifed9I_C90X9np7Y-eWH63nnCRGWCYL_N0dBg95cS0uCixi0y6lfUjeA/s320/Photo12.jpg" width="240" /></a></div> <p></p><p class="MsoNormal">I should also announce that I have been asked to join the Artesprix Design Team so you'll be seeing more fun projects with awesome Artesprix materials soon! <br /></p><p class="MsoNormal">Project Supply List:

</p>Hi, my name is Mandie Wade and I am excited to be an
Artesprix Guest Design Team Member today. I’ve been married to by high school
sweetheart for 20 years, we have 2 beautiful daughters and I’ve had a passion
for crafting my whole life. I love exploring different mediums and have recently
discovered sublimation. My first love is paper crafting so I’ve been trying to
figure out how I could incorporate my love of paper with sublimation when I discovered
the amazing Artesprix Iron on Ink Markers and Stamp Pads
<p class="MsoNoSpacing"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYlzZ6h7o75cjzZyAJXQDZ7KaFoGSwKEux-Tw4qI-z9r26K4k6mtlUAgRXeNXSRKCj_XUA7Kl2SqF5DFmSEacmbWNkuupGAE-WwU-ct2sTrM6N4Oh0Enknkp0ztpQwd70ixONvRDWXqPbO/s2048/A+Photo1+Tumblers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYlzZ6h7o75cjzZyAJXQDZ7KaFoGSwKEux-Tw4qI-z9r26K4k6mtlUAgRXeNXSRKCj_XUA7Kl2SqF5DFmSEacmbWNkuupGAE-WwU-ct2sTrM6N4Oh0Enknkp0ztpQwd70ixONvRDWXqPbO/s320/A+Photo1+Tumblers.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />I knew it would be a natural fit with my love of stamping
and doodling to create something fun. Lately, like much of the world, I’ve been
obsessed with gnomes, so I decided that I absolutely needed to create a Gnome
Wine Tumbler for myself! And of course, I could have just made one, but wine is
better with friends so I decided to try a couple of techniques so I would have
tumblers to share. <p></p>

Inks</h3>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing"> Step 1: Set your Craft Convection Oven to 375 degrees F
to preheat. </p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing"> Step 2: Measure the flat surface of your Artesprix Blank
Tumbler (above where it curves) to determine about how tall your design can be.
Then use a piece of copy and draw your image with the Artesprix Iron-on Ink Markers.
You can also use the Artesprix Stamp Ink Pad and any stamps you own to create your
design. I happened to have a set of fun gnome stamps, so I used a couple of
those images for one of my tumblers. For the other I used some inspiration from
the internet to draw my own gnome, holding a glass of wine. </p>

from the Artesprix Blank Tumbler.<p></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing">Step 4: Trim down the design leaving a border that you
can use to apply the Artesprix Heat Tape to your tumbler. If you have multiple
designs, cut them out individually and tape as needed. </p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing">Note: Only use Heat Tape on the outer edge of your
design, not over it, as the heat resistant characteristic of the tape will affect
the consistency of the transfer. </p>

<p class="MsoNoSpacing"> Step 6: Place the Tumbler into the designated Craft
Toaster/Convection Over. I baked my designs for 4 minutes, then flipped my mug
over and rotated it towards the back of the oven and baked another 3 minutes. </p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing">Note: DO NOT leave Heat Source unattended.</p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing">Step 7: I discovered that I could clearly see the image
through the Tumbler Wrap when the image had fully transferred. Then I carefully

We also got to meet the AWESOME Cricut CEO, Ashish Arora! I love how much he loves Cricut and that he appreciates how much we love Cricut too!<br />
<br />

<br />
And another look at the backdrop with some awesome ideas, I seriously LOVE the flamingo shirts... think he's going to be project #2 for me! Also, my new Cricut Cutie matches my machine!<br />
<br />
So on to me testing this one out! I designed my project in Design Space and read and reread the instructions that you can find right <a href="https://cricut.com/infusible-ink-instructions?utm_campaign=ii&utm_medium=banner&utm_source=cricut_blog&utm_content=Infusible_Ink_Announcement&utm_term=Tutorials" target="_blank">HERE</a>. And yes, seriously read them, watch the videos on the <a href="https://cricut.com/infusible-ink" target="_blank">Infusible Ink</a> webpage... I can tell you, this is NOT one of those fly by the seat of your pants type projects!<br />
<br />
Oh, also here's some pointers I picked up at the Launch... Don't Touch your Ink Transfer Sheets with wet, damp, slightly moist, sweaty or otherwise not DRY hands (or anything else), the ink will transfer and leave your sheet uneven. Lint roll, lint roll and if your think you've done enough, do one more... ANYWHERE the heat press or Easy Press will be sitting while your design is transferring. The lint will also transfer it's color to your project because of the long press time. And use the Heat Guide provided by Cricut right <a href="https://cricut.com/en_us/heatguide" target="_blank">HERE </a>to help you determine time and temperature. And finally, Cricut will only guarantee the results on their Cricut Blanks, although it will work with high polyester content fabrics (but again, the results are not guaranteed).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLu0u7Ukf01_JjdGpA7pvUJ2RPQ1UFROmRjvK2Qvi3GX64u_E-zRgWORkR98zrmdtccI9jdBuoI4ILuxC6NUx1oYalIKNWcKrr3UAyeK5BYF6reQ_pravpBPbi0_3MVv2b3U2YHMCA5B5q/s1600/IMG_4284.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLu0u7Ukf01_JjdGpA7pvUJ2RPQ1UFROmRjvK2Qvi3GX64u_E-zRgWORkR98zrmdtccI9jdBuoI4ILuxC6NUx1oYalIKNWcKrr3UAyeK5BYF6reQ_pravpBPbi0_3MVv2b3U2YHMCA5B5q/s320/IMG_4284.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Step One: Cut out your design, MIRRORED and weed it. Here is what my design looks like partially weeded... and save those scraps for future projects! You know I will! There is a Custom Materials Setting for the Infusible Ink sheets, that's what I used here.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimoxtWinj7kNciWXdembqSQESyLSWiCLaXyBo1sQdDK4D_FSpr5yQ1zYClrtul6bUtQeOEmzGknnGrYjPfTtGsel_B0fxpNrCQ4Pn2OEQ7kIXIJpjenGB5IQe-7DNXrbpOYumigmE2ZL9B/s1600/IMG_4285.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimoxtWinj7kNciWXdembqSQESyLSWiCLaXyBo1sQdDK4D_FSpr5yQ1zYClrtul6bUtQeOEmzGknnGrYjPfTtGsel_B0fxpNrCQ4Pn2OEQ7kIXIJpjenGB5IQe-7DNXrbpOYumigmE2ZL9B/s320/IMG_4285.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Heat up your Cricut Easy Press or your Heat Press. You can NOT use an iron to do this and expect good results. The iron doesn't have a large enough surface are and will NOT get hot enough. I used the Easy Press 2 instructions with my Heat Press, setting it to 385 degrees for 45 seconds.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioEDfQ3WoBX2_WKGNXl4QoB1v6BPagjurHFiDiaQcDr0mYHKW06dsMEZvwgnPEqiR7QZ_MdRA4H16qG05x2sR5Q3n4Vbm2YTfoFeZfqhMLl2ZfS6W_cP3KSH_d3yBb-AKml44i2HMV7HxK/s1600/IMG_4287.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioEDfQ3WoBX2_WKGNXl4QoB1v6BPagjurHFiDiaQcDr0mYHKW06dsMEZvwgnPEqiR7QZ_MdRA4H16qG05x2sR5Q3n4Vbm2YTfoFeZfqhMLl2ZfS6W_cP3KSH_d3yBb-AKml44i2HMV7HxK/s320/IMG_4287.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
Once it's hot, you're going to put your Easy Press Mat inside your shirt (or tote bag) covered with a piece of white card stock. On top you will place your butcher paper, it comes with your Ink Transfer Sheeets. Then pre-heat for 15 seconds. Then let the shirt COOL DOWN. If you don't the ink may start to transfer before it's lined up properly. You definitely don't want that!<br />
<br />
Now that it's cool you will remove the butcher paper, set your design where you want it to be and then put the butcher paper on top of that. This is going to prevent ink from transferring to your heat press plate.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLkRkicvILZHOwVpT1caR4ECKpncX1ZDCSRgouVxthWA9H9XNAaaPoRHjZqBBNkG95A2ub2EFWWuBHa2V-5jlvKL933UeNGX2GVXq7JR7qNAP5-NRVWhc1QZhyJx2L23AwIVVEk6K-yT6p/s1600/IMG_4288.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLkRkicvILZHOwVpT1caR4ECKpncX1ZDCSRgouVxthWA9H9XNAaaPoRHjZqBBNkG95A2ub2EFWWuBHa2V-5jlvKL933UeNGX2GVXq7JR7qNAP5-NRVWhc1QZhyJx2L23AwIVVEk6K-yT6p/s320/IMG_4288.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Next your will press your shirt for the full 40 seconds. I'll admit, pressing this hot made me nervous... you may also notice that, Hey! That's not a Cricut Blank! Nope, it's one of my work out tanks that I've been dying to put something on. It is 92% Polyester and 8% Spandex so I figured it would work... and also, if I mess up my first project... well, I'd still wear it to work out, and I didn't mess up a $10 shirt! After that 40 seconds, you're going to want to carefully lift your pressing plate from your project (not as much of a concern with the heat press, but you don't want your project to shift at all). Now, impatiently (or patiently, who am I to judge) wait for your project to cool a little. It says you can hot peel this, and they were hot peeling at the demos, but when I was reading I heard that if your base is still hot you can accidentally transfer ink to other parts of the shirt. I'm pretty clumsy so I wasn't taking any chances.... the above photo shows the already transferred design cooling down a bit on my shirt, I've already removed the butcher paper.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8b7Z99uut0QYZaW1CH9-HTrBYoAiuAWLLzaRjw4OoxKXedO9A90eWWu1FK55h2QJEyO_wiaNOc3myQGfR_xhMvG3mTaDJmn0qL7OD0eY9GyHo2AMAP6YbDnQk7j1P1Hkq-NSuOOPPb_gu/s1600/IMG_4289.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8b7Z99uut0QYZaW1CH9-HTrBYoAiuAWLLzaRjw4OoxKXedO9A90eWWu1FK55h2QJEyO_wiaNOc3myQGfR_xhMvG3mTaDJmn0qL7OD0eY9GyHo2AMAP6YbDnQk7j1P1Hkq-NSuOOPPb_gu/s320/IMG_4289.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
And finally, you'll carefully peel away your ink transfer sheet to reveal your design! How awesome is this???? It's exactly what I was hoping for and turned out how I imagined!!!! Now, to go get ready for spin class so I can show off my NEW work out shirt!<br />
<br />
I hope you've enjoyed learning a little bit about how to make your own Infusible Ink shirt! <br />

Burpees are my most hated exercise, so I had to use this fabulous Coral Glitter Vinyl to make this shirt! <br />

Now that I'm thinking about it, I think I need to put Sorry Not Sorry on the back.... because I'm NOT sorry, I really hate Burpees! <br />

I'm hoping to play with some new paints soon, now that I'm caught up on my shirt orders! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5YFS0N9_WaeVMSFh_JoL2fgdUZeKCDTWxzBCS-c8wklLPLf2HFE9OMc82EHP90zejb9wZxtRy9y7kLbj3PJz8g8LbcKM6gQYDeLAkCyUoLY3J3zWQ74yzUxh10PnHJNP5J7S2_pVp2hue/s1600/Boat+Couple.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="966" data-original-width="1600" height="193" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5YFS0N9_WaeVMSFh_JoL2fgdUZeKCDTWxzBCS-c8wklLPLf2HFE9OMc82EHP90zejb9wZxtRy9y7kLbj3PJz8g8LbcKM6gQYDeLAkCyUoLY3J3zWQ74yzUxh10PnHJNP5J7S2_pVp2hue/s320/Boat+Couple.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
These shirts are for a family who was cruising together to celebrate their parents/grandparents 50 years of marriage! So this is the fun design we created. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif1hCk_94fFw6YESfzjrn1CPEmtOWg4jc8tveyLWcSoNMFS90GkbLSArQRrDg7-s4ggouDPiP532IAGzfStTD47pj9myIGeQYoSxJBogEbIrp9INsFlf4BIhEu5kbWCwCxlZwoyWb4t2zD/s1600/Boat+M+D.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1077" data-original-width="1600" height="215" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif1hCk_94fFw6YESfzjrn1CPEmtOWg4jc8tveyLWcSoNMFS90GkbLSArQRrDg7-s4ggouDPiP532IAGzfStTD47pj9myIGeQYoSxJBogEbIrp9INsFlf4BIhEu5kbWCwCxlZwoyWb4t2zD/s320/Boat+M+D.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The shirts were all a light blue color and then the design is done with Navy Blue vinyl. The blues are hard to get right with my cell phone camera, but all of the shirts were the same color :) <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMoityVZoupoT156xasW1C2yEXbIjp2XboVhdLywz4NwBifib96OXFialFHXyviIXOwqIG32RXJYqLifOCdVmDHsiitmsoZX5ZCNJnYF5zkcb6nLnJfAdtnjJ84_LXPZ4htpx_D0PgjpS5/s1600/Boat+G+G.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1039" data-original-width="1600" height="207" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMoityVZoupoT156xasW1C2yEXbIjp2XboVhdLywz4NwBifib96OXFialFHXyviIXOwqIG32RXJYqLifOCdVmDHsiitmsoZX5ZCNJnYF5zkcb6nLnJfAdtnjJ84_LXPZ4htpx_D0PgjpS5/s320/Boat+G+G.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I hope in another 33 years I can make fun shirts like this for my family to celebrate my 50th Anniversary! Manhattan Mandiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11045541707966230213noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3264406427342196471.post-16767958776646768782018-07-31T00:00:00.000-05:002018-07-31T00:00:13.108-05:00BBQ and Pie Competition Apron TrophiesToday I wanted to share some fun custom aprons I made for my friend's church. They have an annual BBQ Competition and Pie Baking Competition and wanted something fun for trophies this year. So she asked me to design some aprons for the winners! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6AhZTvVLqlBYGrQMW4pzbraFltz77TVjWRXCzM-3a1dGJ2T2yzL3yjjXi2FhS4tJStU4Gj10hiKsZxUP2J3JwQ-YGI6PkIqpmn9ZD8OWnflpfT6laCFzF3J2cC20PlzRZXZWeBWM5SH1E/s1600/Apron+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="993" data-original-width="1600" height="198" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6AhZTvVLqlBYGrQMW4pzbraFltz77TVjWRXCzM-3a1dGJ2T2yzL3yjjXi2FhS4tJStU4Gj10hiKsZxUP2J3JwQ-YGI6PkIqpmn9ZD8OWnflpfT6laCFzF3J2cC20PlzRZXZWeBWM5SH1E/s320/Apron+4.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm a font-a-holic and I LOVE playing with them to come up with fun designs. This is what I created for the BBQ winner. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiirncSHfNryelwaD4DP9EVWkxjOPmRaxo9CRMlMSW2HITq9QArTHhWuy8dyhaBKm69VcN4imijzFVqlZTxxTMYADbElZ6Eoqukye_VofI-Dlj_sBjrOo7mgGTM__sNqdI_LmgWjs8F5TvA/s1600/Apron+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1064" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiirncSHfNryelwaD4DP9EVWkxjOPmRaxo9CRMlMSW2HITq9QArTHhWuy8dyhaBKm69VcN4imijzFVqlZTxxTMYADbElZ6Eoqukye_VofI-Dlj_sBjrOo7mgGTM__sNqdI_LmgWjs8F5TvA/s320/Apron+3.jpg" width="212" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
The Pie Competition winner walked away with this fun design! Again I got to play with fonts. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjugdpzEaR0FQVbBk38dkhcK4P6zYFoKjwxfvAIRLgkMWg-26C1Arbn_PP2opezqm3o_w_wvMuhN_mdHq8a23IN4A_mJIaCW0HF-rvXBEp0q5IaWoPihhl9LB9pZOgAVfW6EeeiH32yqA8b/s1600/Apron+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1006" data-original-width="1600" height="201" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjugdpzEaR0FQVbBk38dkhcK4P6zYFoKjwxfvAIRLgkMWg-26C1Arbn_PP2opezqm3o_w_wvMuhN_mdHq8a23IN4A_mJIaCW0HF-rvXBEp0q5IaWoPihhl9LB9pZOgAVfW6EeeiH32yqA8b/s320/Apron+1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I had a lot of fun designing these aprons! Now to figure out what next years winner aprons will be! <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheA5EVGag3v0iLZOgCHwuf-cC_gSn3K_J2PUgBRDB9cyDK5hy4M8LVaUx-mxNzF8W_oFOODVNyLQX0C8R7Odr-3xu4dQpR16ih6lwcnoUizRtWr7IgzwXx6ZwkpxC6K5gc8XTj1yoMEvM5/s1600/Apron+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1339" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheA5EVGag3v0iLZOgCHwuf-cC_gSn3K_J2PUgBRDB9cyDK5hy4M8LVaUx-mxNzF8W_oFOODVNyLQX0C8R7Odr-3xu4dQpR16ih6lwcnoUizRtWr7IgzwXx6ZwkpxC6K5gc8XTj1yoMEvM5/s320/Apron+2.jpg" width="267" /></a></div>

Maggie turned 3 and her mom wanted to have fun family shirts to wear for her party. So we did a different Rainbow Dash on each person's shirts, and then did their name and a big 3 on the back of each shirt! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Because you don't really want to have multiple vinyl layers on shirts (they get thick fast) I needed to come up with a solution for making Rainbow mane and tails for the shirts. Happily I found this gorgeous rainbow striped holographic vinyl that I could fill in with! <br />

The photos don't really do this gorgeous vinyl justice, it is so dazzling in the light! I had a lot of fun making these shirts, and I know the birthday girl LOVED her fun birthday shirt too! <br />

If you want to see the awesome picture frames we made, check out <a href="https://mandiesscrappin.blogspot.com/2018/07/getting-crafty-at-girl-scout-camp-with.html" target="_blank">this post</a>! We used the fabulous paints that <a href="https://plaidonline.com/" target="_blank">Plaid Crafts</a> sent us for our camp, including Folk Art Acrylic Paint, Color Shift Paint and Glitteriffic. I'm so glad that I'm able to share my love of Plaid Crafts through my ambassador ship! <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
We did these on the first or second day of camp, which happens to be my busiest days with prepping for cooking and making sure camp is running smoothly so I only got a few pictures. I'm planning to make some more clothes pin dolls with my troops in the future though. <br />
<br />

The mermaids were all so different and had such fun personalities! I loved seeing all the girls get their creative juices flowing! <br />

It's a ton of fun, and a ton of work, but it's a labor of love for sure! But when all of the planning turns out some really AWESOME creativity for the girls, it is so rewarding! This year, I was lucky enough to become a Brand Ambassador for <a href="https://plaidonline.com/" target="_blank">Plaid Crafts</a>. So they sent me some REALLY great products to play with!<br />
<br />
The first project we created with our Plaid Crafts paints were these fantastic picture frames! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCw1GtfYklfs65Dck3bH8zbgSluZnjbHInPBNPBglPkddYNaUOcfSxviYOa2qcPrOjrQPKa8yXqpDO00ZWN0pfrwER9maasYskMpXJyAzYNgkDh1cotiKzAMTnx3ehLbL0sSaJGlTR0R_5/s1600/GS+Frames+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="888" data-original-width="1600" height="177" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCw1GtfYklfs65Dck3bH8zbgSluZnjbHInPBNPBglPkddYNaUOcfSxviYOa2qcPrOjrQPKa8yXqpDO00ZWN0pfrwER9maasYskMpXJyAzYNgkDh1cotiKzAMTnx3ehLbL0sSaJGlTR0R_5/s320/GS+Frames+1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Our theme for camp was "Under the Sea" so the girls had the option to add sea shells to their art. Some did and some chose to just use the paints and they are all works of art! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuphKNoUdaqOLsxnqPVcJiWEarknKrLdE9FEDkKTArLFgI1eYQhvjR6ln3jC60Syh5Jgt6fOqHCt5gljQUDRbDrJx9wQZRdNdW5PttROliy5jFh37ZJ3H9V6qyQeuM-PJf5uSrhmRYBiWQ/s1600/GS+Frames+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1518" data-original-width="1600" height="303" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuphKNoUdaqOLsxnqPVcJiWEarknKrLdE9FEDkKTArLFgI1eYQhvjR6ln3jC60Syh5Jgt6fOqHCt5gljQUDRbDrJx9wQZRdNdW5PttROliy5jFh37ZJ3H9V6qyQeuM-PJf5uSrhmRYBiWQ/s320/GS+Frames+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Plaid donated all of the paints and brushes that the girls used, so we used their beautiful <a href="https://amzn.to/2Onu33c" target="_blank">Folk Art</a> acrylic paint colors to decorate these frames.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5E_vbti9M9ssO1K_3hotqGT0QEd98OwNBnoAKFwZgcIJY0n8cNth0iMSyVAdvKAU8CAf5p038urzCeQxZa6YJB-BpSKT9cH8NgdXVDGm6pW59qm0X71_PzGpb3NvOR_ZO68H5PYB3pSlN/s1600/GS+Frames+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1577" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5E_vbti9M9ssO1K_3hotqGT0QEd98OwNBnoAKFwZgcIJY0n8cNth0iMSyVAdvKAU8CAf5p038urzCeQxZa6YJB-BpSKT9cH8NgdXVDGm6pW59qm0X71_PzGpb3NvOR_ZO68H5PYB3pSlN/s320/GS+Frames+3.jpg" width="315" /></a></div>
<br />
I love the coverage we get with Plaids paints! You only need one coat for beautiful color and coverage! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj259KM5buujKhavWBdWHXIZoajKrA5EyCaVwNknikdQUm4jjpgPffbojkc4mulnVFh9L5rjS3DVprLlkDLG-A44HK7AyCBJQUv5o_-PuZpKstyH8kAoBo93CuAHXnPtwCKTMWUjoqw2Qox/s1600/GS+Frames+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1498" data-original-width="1600" height="299" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj259KM5buujKhavWBdWHXIZoajKrA5EyCaVwNknikdQUm4jjpgPffbojkc4mulnVFh9L5rjS3DVprLlkDLG-A44HK7AyCBJQUv5o_-PuZpKstyH8kAoBo93CuAHXnPtwCKTMWUjoqw2Qox/s320/GS+Frames+4.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Plaid also sent some of their AMAZING Color Shift Paints. Now, if you haven't see this in person, it's seriously one of my absolute FAVORITE paints! Just like the names says, the colors shift in the light! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4zfHfVfqlz2Fo0scRFRenvDPBXEXYG82mUPme20vKHl60HW5H1CnIPxiEMbXIJPoTlGhIi_zPSxSixR4lyy_8bt_NtVxY-FmIXy0rbKwx_U5_OhwkSuI6B7lddoHK0EjNqc68gd1rFxcI/s1600/GS+Frames+6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1429" data-original-width="1600" height="285" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4zfHfVfqlz2Fo0scRFRenvDPBXEXYG82mUPme20vKHl60HW5H1CnIPxiEMbXIJPoTlGhIi_zPSxSixR4lyy_8bt_NtVxY-FmIXy0rbKwx_U5_OhwkSuI6B7lddoHK0EjNqc68gd1rFxcI/s320/GS+Frames+6.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
We also paired up the <a href="https://amzn.to/2JYk29j" target="_blank">Color Shift</a> paint with the <a href="https://amzn.to/2NLRp13" target="_blank">Glitteriffic</a> paint for a metallic, glitter finish on some of the frames. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Here's a few more examples of frames the girls made! Aren't they cool?<br />

This frame below used Color Shift and Glitteriffic in contrasting teal and blue for this gorgeous effect!<br />

<br />
Here's a pic of some of the girls getting crafty with their frames! They all LOVED their finished frames and can proudly display a treasured photo in their new frames! <br />

I used another <a href="http://www.scrapbookgeneration.com/" target="_blank">Scrapbook Generation</a> Sketch for this layout and cut the title with my Cricut. I love that I'm able to weld all of my letters together to create titles like this so easily. So I decided to showcase this layout that I made with the Queen & Co <a href="https://queenandcompany.com/collections/magic/products/around-the-park-mat-stack" target="_blank">Magic Collection</a>! These photos were taken when she was 4 and she got to meet Princess Tiana at Magic Kingdom. I LOVED they way they interacted so much! <br />

Since Evie was dressed as Rapunzel I decided to use the tower paper on this layout. I used another <a href="http://www.scrapbookgeneration.com/" target="_blank">Scrapbook Generation</a> Sketch for the photo placement but added my own twist to the paper placement. That's why I love sketches so much, you can use as much or as little as you like to make it yours.<br />
<br />
Happy Birthday, Evie! Wishing you magic for all the years to come! I found this amazing <a href="http://www.scrapbookgeneration.com/" target="_blank">Scrapbook Generation</a> Sketch that combined a ton of
full sized 4 x 6" photos with a great collage of my beautiful <a href="http://www.photoplaypaper.com/" target="_blank">Photo Play Papers</a>. I again used the Rhapsody collection for this title page,
and used my Cricut to write the title on my patterned paper! With a few simple embellishments and a little washi tape this layout came together really quickly! right project to try it out on. When I got this little desk I decided to
give it a try! I used Plaid Craft's Photo Transfer Medium to turn this
desk into a beautiful display piece that my kids can also use. The wood
desk top was transformed into a usable Chalkboard with Plaid's
Chalkboard Paint. Both the paint and transfer mediums were very easy to
use and made this project a great success!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I started by painting all of the metal pieces of the desk with a spray paint to refresh the metal. I just used plastic shopping bags and painter's tape to mask off the parts I didn't want to spray paint and then used a hammered bronze spray paint. Next I painted the top of the desk with several coats of the Chalkboard
Paint, letting each coat dry fully in between. Once it cured for a few
days I conditioned the paint by rubbing chalk all over it and wiping it
off with a cloth. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1OA6HgxXll1ggB5df22224goMCHyZ9zXoqda66vaGunUOXBX-_Hv-w6ScdYYSfAU_5F5KVmeiM_YmAi-PIR_r0NMXk3u3DKGxZXNW8aVlvKJu1YDadMJ_V5iN7DWq6UjhSJm0aoetk5Ub/s1600/IMG_8654.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1OA6HgxXll1ggB5df22224goMCHyZ9zXoqda66vaGunUOXBX-_Hv-w6ScdYYSfAU_5F5KVmeiM_YmAi-PIR_r0NMXk3u3DKGxZXNW8aVlvKJu1YDadMJ_V5iN7DWq6UjhSJm0aoetk5Ub/s320/IMG_8654.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I made laser copies of my chosen scrapbook paper. This paper is from the Graphic 45 Primary Collection. I've been hording it for several years now so I was excited to use it with out using it all up! Because mine chosen papers had words I had the copies mirrored. I measured the area I was going to put my papers and then cut them down to size.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy4mVa_w9KxeAvcDTzXLM6ZIcxIOAq9d8P8zwU4Pwo826pJenWZ-F01uV2Vrlv8R6FaNOOlN3PF7faug2M2mtArssHsPWHaJ_-J9CgEvOA6vsIniVJI7M_wdIL2FxvlDOUACvJHec4zkX8/s1600/IMG_9799.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy4mVa_w9KxeAvcDTzXLM6ZIcxIOAq9d8P8zwU4Pwo826pJenWZ-F01uV2Vrlv8R6FaNOOlN3PF7faug2M2mtArssHsPWHaJ_-J9CgEvOA6vsIniVJI7M_wdIL2FxvlDOUACvJHec4zkX8/s320/IMG_9799.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Next I applied the photo transfer medium in an even coat to the front of my images and then applied them to my desk.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgf9aYQcZDzQ5oNh2xdRi6CBtB52-xWP-vhtoL1O64Oo7wkvKsJg14tQbBMYjOz7Q5mQsR3Aq6187otzFiEhuNJl5zg3aAvnGpcw7AhdLq8e8mCWL5yomn0wTtMujx3s9DwxYB98Jv-eWk4/s1600/IMG_9800.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgf9aYQcZDzQ5oNh2xdRi6CBtB52-xWP-vhtoL1O64Oo7wkvKsJg14tQbBMYjOz7Q5mQsR3Aq6187otzFiEhuNJl5zg3aAvnGpcw7AhdLq8e8mCWL5yomn0wTtMujx3s9DwxYB98Jv-eWk4/s320/IMG_9800.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I smoothed down the paper with a scraper tool to make
sure it was evenly applied to my surface and wiped away any excess
medium. Then I let everything dry for twenty four hours.
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmigZUapJbGGvKMT3U_viaqqbDvz1vplLp3N7uRiVH3lzGnHPT3EDrgbxaXghjRTViFqV80pXqbH_35udh75KN5hdMDF_JJFik5YdGivVNEOC7bPNOyu8g7lnXQv1MTBXKpFFaffP8UADM/s1600/IMG_9802.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmigZUapJbGGvKMT3U_viaqqbDvz1vplLp3N7uRiVH3lzGnHPT3EDrgbxaXghjRTViFqV80pXqbH_35udh75KN5hdMDF_JJFik5YdGivVNEOC7bPNOyu8g7lnXQv1MTBXKpFFaffP8UADM/s320/IMG_9802.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
The following day I used a damp sponge to wet the paper, then waited 2
minutes and carefully used my sponge to rub the paper off of my image. I
repeated for each image I applied.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfVKABsKJXDbTkKrYMXLLI8BQAnlS_ZJ0kVMYLcINZptqjBRpWzwqjBLFVvSJKU-mjt_89Qm3HjJJtMd-DiNBeNM0haojH6-U7kyuLb2cbF75QKIMbs8FTc4_5z-HLePJ4bWM8Jnuqzxvk/s1600/IMG_9820.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfVKABsKJXDbTkKrYMXLLI8BQAnlS_ZJ0kVMYLcINZptqjBRpWzwqjBLFVvSJKU-mjt_89Qm3HjJJtMd-DiNBeNM0haojH6-U7kyuLb2cbF75QKIMbs8FTc4_5z-HLePJ4bWM8Jnuqzxvk/s320/IMG_9820.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
I let everything dry again and then used sandpaper to
distress some of the edges and sections of my transfer (I didn't want
it to look too new).Finally I used some watered down brown paint to apply a wash of color to certain areas for an even more aged look.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGyg5KY62kwJ1VSFsEp7An3HFbuEqIusukdxcr5UeNTVEoIxD-rxJ9rsY6Ib31ErHNNxi-lgi1WseyUqQkoX2WTiFedDykZw33-omoTsSVNtillIcaLWJaMbN5mA4XD2LZtR2ybASFkw5e/s1600/IMG_9854.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGyg5KY62kwJ1VSFsEp7An3HFbuEqIusukdxcr5UeNTVEoIxD-rxJ9rsY6Ib31ErHNNxi-lgi1WseyUqQkoX2WTiFedDykZw33-omoTsSVNtillIcaLWJaMbN5mA4XD2LZtR2ybASFkw5e/s320/IMG_9854.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
And here's another angle of the finished desk! I love the way it looks and I'm planning to use it as an end table in my loft! I highly recommend giving Photo Transfer a try, it was so easy to do and gives a beautiful finished result. <br />

I loved the colors on the Rhapsody Collection with my photos that I took of my girls at the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Disney's Polynesian Resort. The food there was amazing and even though it rained the show still went on. We had a fantastic time! This was another one that came together really quickly with the help of a <a href="http://www.scrapbookgeneration.com/" target="_blank">Scrapbook Generation</a> Sketch and some Jolees Stickers. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhR6CmvBGQhBQqoZW_ev1X0L1ErWrkEynJGt6MmGHlC-Z-8Te11iZurK0qUQdu1JYXXiNRdy5rp0nWZAxWpGV0fx_dkLaP6IZwRq9L6v6RK2p4g4AqdBMPDjyDz9C4zAYVIZr6OnI6vNuVj/s1600/LO3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="778" data-original-width="1600" height="155" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhR6CmvBGQhBQqoZW_ev1X0L1ErWrkEynJGt6MmGHlC-Z-8Te11iZurK0qUQdu1JYXXiNRdy5rp0nWZAxWpGV0fx_dkLaP6IZwRq9L6v6RK2p4g4AqdBMPDjyDz9C4zAYVIZr6OnI6vNuVj/s320/LO3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney Princess movie so I LOVED the stage show. I took about a million pictures of it, but managed to narrow the show down to my top 8 (it was HARD). I tried to find ones to showcase the plot as much as I could. I used a pretty simple pattern for the background to really highlight my photos. I also found this tickets die cut that I had in my stash and they were a perfect accent along with the Beauty and the Beast Jolees Stickers. For the title I put the sticker onto a white piece of cardstock and fussy cut around it. Then I added a little foam adhesive under it to pop it up like the layered Beauty and the Beast Image sticker. Manhattan Mandiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11045541707966230213noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3264406427342196471.post-48679738406730208022018-04-07T00:00:00.001-05:002018-04-07T00:00:00.318-05:00Quick and Beautiful Coasters with Mod PodgeSo today I decided to post one of my daughter's crafty projects on my blog. She loves crafting as much as I do and she's always happy when I let her use all of my fun crafty stuff. So we were chatting and she asks me the best way to add some paper to these wood blanks that she bought and of course I said Mod Podge! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYPNiAkY7vMJR54j_4x6eOAc0vW05s0zHCJozCDN9uP9IBA6b2OwGivw0keXPDxH7hRGGfFZtR7r1YCjQM58he0qOUaqfRabeDPsuQZ0RU3lsxt6y2ZYv2oV3ISnAT89uQh3ZGl_08FOnx/s1600/IMG_4074.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYPNiAkY7vMJR54j_4x6eOAc0vW05s0zHCJozCDN9uP9IBA6b2OwGivw0keXPDxH7hRGGfFZtR7r1YCjQM58he0qOUaqfRabeDPsuQZ0RU3lsxt6y2ZYv2oV3ISnAT89uQh3ZGl_08FOnx/s320/IMG_4074.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
So she got out the Mod Podge, the Mod Podge brushes, wood tiles, scrapbook paper and a gold paint pen. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFyol1i1ocjJRThBvin0ZlvFxJ__Bjn5KUZVrVl-16Bjb1_xaeD8W8vIaLGX4Iyy1hvA8Iehw141YO0owwukSoE3CS1-9IByNoRVW0SDRPZiEiJDp4lkmnGk2QxkdcPMw7ax7JsVuNPU_2/s1600/IMG_9350.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFyol1i1ocjJRThBvin0ZlvFxJ__Bjn5KUZVrVl-16Bjb1_xaeD8W8vIaLGX4Iyy1hvA8Iehw141YO0owwukSoE3CS1-9IByNoRVW0SDRPZiEiJDp4lkmnGk2QxkdcPMw7ax7JsVuNPU_2/s320/IMG_9350.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
First she applied the Mod Podge in a nice even layer over the wood tile and then applied her paper over the top side. She cut the paper to be slightly larger than the tile to make sure that it covered the whole thing. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY7Ltt6MDTsJtxfKt3AnbnBGoug_cE0On4-5VL9hqeMQo0kTISwK5OTl6xocPp8Nudi5F-_jzMiKq-TR5PHbTnq_GyNgNQi_VzLOYBMlL3ktGlNj3nmH0c5rxHj4q3cgMk1Oc8muPPPsv_/s1600/IMG_9352.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY7Ltt6MDTsJtxfKt3AnbnBGoug_cE0On4-5VL9hqeMQo0kTISwK5OTl6xocPp8Nudi5F-_jzMiKq-TR5PHbTnq_GyNgNQi_VzLOYBMlL3ktGlNj3nmH0c5rxHj4q3cgMk1Oc8muPPPsv_/s320/IMG_9352.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Once they were dry, she trimmed the excess paper away with scissors and then used a good old fashioned nail file to sand away any excess paper around the edges and corners. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV4hrGZfmjGoeF6yPHidcWAxHr40cwMd7PTuU6P2XH15vqpktSDAKDVriQXcbNIJQ2Sj2DxlWqdzC6yQcwUpGdbvUah5lT5yyP8rDHBU8lnVwfb8Y9urGlNjNKyC0TtusKjAUsHnzrKDvm/s1600/IMG_9353.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV4hrGZfmjGoeF6yPHidcWAxHr40cwMd7PTuU6P2XH15vqpktSDAKDVriQXcbNIJQ2Sj2DxlWqdzC6yQcwUpGdbvUah5lT5yyP8rDHBU8lnVwfb8Y9urGlNjNKyC0TtusKjAUsHnzrKDvm/s320/IMG_9353.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Because she wanted to use these as functional coasters, we decided she should use some Outdoor Mod Podge over the top of them to seal and protect them. The final step was to use the gold paint marker around the edges of the tiles to give them a great finished look! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAV1AlMi95l14i2GHZiri76PNpRxkTZF4NI67cyABLLKJjAzkQzVUqrx-gpXVaaUsj62ERRujq2wjLb36wRoWepm6qZoZWGG_sJykFhVwCKQWxIsJ5roab6wcHFKY-WJCew2ILHPHavNbu/s1600/IMG_9947.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAV1AlMi95l14i2GHZiri76PNpRxkTZF4NI67cyABLLKJjAzkQzVUqrx-gpXVaaUsj62ERRujq2wjLb36wRoWepm6qZoZWGG_sJykFhVwCKQWxIsJ5roab6wcHFKY-WJCew2ILHPHavNbu/s320/IMG_9947.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So here's the set of 4 coasters she created! They are beautiful and functional! It's amazing what kids will come up with when they are given the right tools to work with! </div>

I was again inspired by a <a href="http://scrapbookgeneration.com/" target="_blank">Scrapbook Generation </a>Sketch. I highly recommend their sketchbooks (and I'm not paid to say that, I'm just a HUGE fun)! <br />

<br />
I used my Cricut to cut the circles and star and then I cut the title from permanent vinyl. The vinyl can be cut a bit easier than cardstock for a cut this delicate, and the title transferred easily with transfer tape. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
One of the biggest projects I've been working on has been a true labor of love, Scrapbooking our families first Disney Trip! We took the trip in September of 2013 and it's been the only thing I've scrapped since. I have some many other side projects and crafts that work themselves into my scrapbooking time, but I recently attended a crop and was able to make a few layouts so I thought I would share them with you over the next few days!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpttQxvFblMz29EhgoFMwb-lSfH1WkLlluvhSRLlg23GvymaLDqF9Nl_Mm1Bo8IIH0VTnYdCjnnHXBnd8z82hZoZ8do8S-G8YelDBT6WJwcxRk3E-Yk7J0s3ciiWx-sPjON5L99X8BW0rr/s1600/LO1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="790" data-original-width="1600" height="158" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpttQxvFblMz29EhgoFMwb-lSfH1WkLlluvhSRLlg23GvymaLDqF9Nl_Mm1Bo8IIH0VTnYdCjnnHXBnd8z82hZoZ8do8S-G8YelDBT6WJwcxRk3E-Yk7J0s3ciiWx-sPjON5L99X8BW0rr/s320/LO1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The first one I completed was the fun Hollywood Studios Layout! The background and banners were made with scraps I've accumulated over the course of scrapping my trip! I had so many narrow strips in the scrapheap that it was simple to put this one together. I was inspired by a <a href="https://www.scrapbookgeneration.com/" target="_blank">Scrapbook Generation</a> Sketch for the placement of everything. I used this fantastic title from <a href="https://www.paperwiz.net/" target="_blank">Paper Wizard</a> to top it all off. I wish all of my layouts came together this easy! Hello Everyone! Today I want to share a fun and simple craft that I made with my Girl Scout troop! For this project you will need a 2x4 cut into 8" tall pieces, wood heart shapes, wire, wired burlap ribbon and a pretty floral ribbon, a hot glue gun Plaid Crafts Folk Art Paints in white, pink, gray and brown and paint brushes! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCQnvrULMTxbO0XuoGADAqfnAD-uaU1N3gXjHvHkO0WJCjSeQ2xXvae30YsmCRvCF3zxbWbgbpBHnkmWeAGqIUx5uKUrA4WmuxQ72EaFRyt_qX3ar8_PLfvxAgkfAmzZRFHPDT8QKnhjgt/s1600/Blog3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="882" data-original-width="662" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCQnvrULMTxbO0XuoGADAqfnAD-uaU1N3gXjHvHkO0WJCjSeQ2xXvae30YsmCRvCF3zxbWbgbpBHnkmWeAGqIUx5uKUrA4WmuxQ72EaFRyt_qX3ar8_PLfvxAgkfAmzZRFHPDT8QKnhjgt/s320/Blog3.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
To begin you paint your entire block with the white paint. You can use brown to add a little distressing around the edges. While that's drying, paint the heart (for the nose) and centers of the ears pink. Each ear is cut from a piece of wired burlap ribbon. Then you'll take about 18" of wire and twist each end around the pencil, leaving about 1" in the center flat (to glue under the heart), repeat 2 more times. Then tie a bow from your floral ribbon. Now you're ready to assemble! Just add a blob of hot glue and stick the wires down into it, and the heart nose right on top before the glue dries. Then glue each ear to the back of the block. Finally add the bow. To finish it off, you can dip the end of your brush, a pencil eraser or your finger into the paint to make eyes. My daughter also wanted a mouth for her bunny so she painted one. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDPjeE5tK3NLnBr0oX7OHYYjfwXaXzEM2um6x5Ahk-DNR2dN1WvxYZGM_6GFiUS7KV8JoeBKhRmgWkzNVv2zgwkyMGWw_uhsEj1VbqbmYpCvWzt8-Eq6OzUH8BI2VzrIiiT_V6rZeMrWTw/s1600/Blog2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="882" data-original-width="662" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDPjeE5tK3NLnBr0oX7OHYYjfwXaXzEM2um6x5Ahk-DNR2dN1WvxYZGM_6GFiUS7KV8JoeBKhRmgWkzNVv2zgwkyMGWw_uhsEj1VbqbmYpCvWzt8-Eq6OzUH8BI2VzrIiiT_V6rZeMrWTw/s320/Blog2.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Here's my daughter with her finished bunny! All of the girls loved being able to create such a fun project that they will be able to display for years to come!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmzUUSIPdzUruH-rmNu2ROKRBLGr77XaVph1j8AdGYgUCofKutJJb4oRVu_JGD0RIc_udKoCbjW7TRxUPzmjTaSvhkBzEuG_Z7rTVurS-SVgRvgGEXxSaXxWuae4xnI8TcJZzyYVwnrjhc/s1600/IMG_9889.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1515" data-original-width="1600" height="302" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmzUUSIPdzUruH-rmNu2ROKRBLGr77XaVph1j8AdGYgUCofKutJJb4oRVu_JGD0RIc_udKoCbjW7TRxUPzmjTaSvhkBzEuG_Z7rTVurS-SVgRvgGEXxSaXxWuae4xnI8TcJZzyYVwnrjhc/s320/IMG_9889.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here's a look at the bunnies I created as well! I used 8", 6" and 4" blocks to make this family of bunnies. Such a fun and simple project! <br />

So you may have noticed a new little button over there in my side bar === ></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm super excited to announce that I'm an official Ambassador for Plaid Crafts! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So in celebration, I want to share with you a fun event that I was able to take part of, and you can too! It's called Paint Along with Plaid Crafts and if you click right <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/201720817049661/" target="_blank">HERE </a>this link will take you to the Facebook Event for the Lucky Llama Paint Along Party. Now technically it was a live party, but you can watch the replay and paint along still too, which is what my good friend <a href="http://aimhappy.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Betsy</a> and I did together! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
To begin we each put all of these beautiful Plaid Paints into our palates. Following the instructions from our fabulous hosts we painted the background with this beautiful new Prairie Sunset color. You can find all of the supplies we used right <a href="https://plaidonline.com/promotions/pwpmar2018?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=pwpmar2018&utm_content=fb-event-page" target="_blank">HERE</a> and you'll SAVE a few dollars if you order before 3/31/2018. We mixed a bit of the Prairie Sunset with Titanium White randomly while the paint was still wet for a fun background. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWHZvOqESmgDnW7LPHvxyPz6KYkfsIuz6yuIjPDeCAchZfv1Cqcrz789dEr5XyS72h3rTWtyeo2P2XoU0t7ry2mXq0P6cUEg1Vw-COdc_mndpVlDiR3r76sJG1ReL5BFJ1j_zlHpVy7kGJ/s1600/IMG_9131.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWHZvOqESmgDnW7LPHvxyPz6KYkfsIuz6yuIjPDeCAchZfv1Cqcrz789dEr5XyS72h3rTWtyeo2P2XoU0t7ry2mXq0P6cUEg1Vw-COdc_mndpVlDiR3r76sJG1ReL5BFJ1j_zlHpVy7kGJ/s320/IMG_9131.JPG" width="240" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next we followed the instructions for sketching out the llama's body with our paint brush. It's surprisingly easy when they break it down into the basic shapes with you. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinExe28GNZu3dsqPCCFV4xUqunz6krkB1lLAc8Xyvi0_Ld1lMVXng8HrGX2Xtu3SHG9pN_WUkawglaajM0SMQt8Hn2amLfwnuF5u4Q7QtxXjUGUkvqG7jcPhazAuc5anKbRyeI-FGd3qsS/s1600/IMG_9130.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinExe28GNZu3dsqPCCFV4xUqunz6krkB1lLAc8Xyvi0_Ld1lMVXng8HrGX2Xtu3SHG9pN_WUkawglaajM0SMQt8Hn2amLfwnuF5u4Q7QtxXjUGUkvqG7jcPhazAuc5anKbRyeI-FGd3qsS/s320/IMG_9130.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Then we continued to fill in our llama with paint and then used the gorgeous Metallic Rose paint to do the border. The border looks so complex but it's pretty easy. Four straight lines and then do the little dashes for leaves. Then add a little dot to the center of the leaves for more interest. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxT3emvz7yw_vWGtpOLKkJGux5drXTgPP6ZUyo0vtIx-BNWHwdM4LXM3jdKMIa5TbV_H9-rAnI-PYfdXDtWk-HSBpVOrieKtp47YNPuoizBHr89PJ0Ltq-sQkPTZTvytX-YADwzHtIzSm_/s1600/IMG_9132.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxT3emvz7yw_vWGtpOLKkJGux5drXTgPP6ZUyo0vtIx-BNWHwdM4LXM3jdKMIa5TbV_H9-rAnI-PYfdXDtWk-HSBpVOrieKtp47YNPuoizBHr89PJ0Ltq-sQkPTZTvytX-YADwzHtIzSm_/s320/IMG_9132.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
I had to throw in an action photo so you could see I actually painted this! LOL! I'm not an artist at all but I sure felt like one. Here I'm adding some of the details to my llama. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXDTmmKN0Wmh4XfwwftnLgOuR4FsnMPKYf01oO09A-EZ3Qj2o7WAg8drmP5nff2wouga0i5VQJ1vspKYw5WOpPo0QyxAlmcABnP6cLWZ4CDfA8HOWfFxH2RW7QFGOkDJojhkC3W-FfzLtE/s1600/IMG_9133.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXDTmmKN0Wmh4XfwwftnLgOuR4FsnMPKYf01oO09A-EZ3Qj2o7WAg8drmP5nff2wouga0i5VQJ1vspKYw5WOpPo0QyxAlmcABnP6cLWZ4CDfA8HOWfFxH2RW7QFGOkDJojhkC3W-FfzLtE/s320/IMG_9133.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
So my llama looks a little different from the one on the screen, but that's the fun of art. Nothing is perfect and you should put your own spin on things! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1LtUrEEkxiZ8gKTSTSl2sjAZxkGa_Wn1GtR86_1sFIaKZmMTrxz-J_Ia_XxjpKY9PHDbI6eR2Eq6zvuE1BKkalHm7BHpk8E1n0iJERgCRTJQtqBC6Pkg-o-fJzH-pNG-Pc-vUJao8RKZ2/s1600/IMG_9135.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1LtUrEEkxiZ8gKTSTSl2sjAZxkGa_Wn1GtR86_1sFIaKZmMTrxz-J_Ia_XxjpKY9PHDbI6eR2Eq6zvuE1BKkalHm7BHpk8E1n0iJERgCRTJQtqBC6Pkg-o-fJzH-pNG-Pc-vUJao8RKZ2/s320/IMG_9135.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's a shot of the llama almost complete with some of his pom poms
added to his blanket and reins. It was SO easy to do with the Detail
Painters from Plaid. Seriously, I'm in love with them and know I'll be
using them in the future... especially in my paper crafting... <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpJrngGVgEyl7-W0vQWyHK7rQaUpTf4FiKk7GO6Ynk33TyzXlX74apWGJcUDpXziSZNxG3PZlEmgpmrAR6NH_B-_n5oWz0-j6a3_7xkDUzBhGJ-OO9vGpauU1XEbfwkJVt3DmBlyQS9hHj/s1600/IMG_9136.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpJrngGVgEyl7-W0vQWyHK7rQaUpTf4FiKk7GO6Ynk33TyzXlX74apWGJcUDpXziSZNxG3PZlEmgpmrAR6NH_B-_n5oWz0-j6a3_7xkDUzBhGJ-OO9vGpauU1XEbfwkJVt3DmBlyQS9hHj/s320/IMG_9136.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
To finish off this adorable little llama we added my very favorite
product, Mod Podge Sparkle! Who doesn't need a little sparkle in their
llama? I love the glittery shimmer that Mod Podge Sparkle adds to my
crafts, with out the mess of glitter! Here we applied it pretty thick to
give some extra texture to our llama. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA22Z-EcnGCw-0Vyyu5eeS_XAbmX-t-fEeFg9-ly7nGGaqvecZMFlfrJCcTO0qHIL40LcTMh2NvPjJQbUCh6hsxNsEho0fsDRhAS354dWZVnYAzfbc2MjZVz1OpOl1kXTDf9XxWYsVaKbQ/s1600/IMG_9138.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA22Z-EcnGCw-0Vyyu5eeS_XAbmX-t-fEeFg9-ly7nGGaqvecZMFlfrJCcTO0qHIL40LcTMh2NvPjJQbUCh6hsxNsEho0fsDRhAS354dWZVnYAzfbc2MjZVz1OpOl1kXTDf9XxWYsVaKbQ/s320/IMG_9138.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's my completed masterpiece, with all of the products we used to
make it. You could get by with just 2 - 3 brushes for this entire
painting, and see that green one? That's the Detail Painter! We used it
for all of the big pom poms. The small ones were done with the wrong end
of the paint brush. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnqJqv6YDkU_tOJIYGVNtZLxTXeaR3mFlXNZfB_d0xZ38P7c5gIudFjH6_EWdBHRzIUqm4c40dVSDvVodIry3ualWE7ySZkSUwF5fSyaOty6KKpsTx-Z_qm_kPrfxqITfO6mLskWoop8fg/s1600/IMG_9141.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnqJqv6YDkU_tOJIYGVNtZLxTXeaR3mFlXNZfB_d0xZ38P7c5gIudFjH6_EWdBHRzIUqm4c40dVSDvVodIry3ualWE7ySZkSUwF5fSyaOty6KKpsTx-Z_qm_kPrfxqITfO6mLskWoop8fg/s320/IMG_9141.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I just had to include this photo of the Metallic Paints we used on this
painting, they are really gorgeous! It makes me want to paint everything
in beautiful jewel-toned metallic paint! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikTPId4oHL0-6juZS6IAgO0sj1WecgwWvL5zu-64thhMTbx3yRkG9jDKAyTZBrDJTwARx5vl-qTPjG0QA0oLY7ydQZiyGh2c2rznCSeip2DsiQ1C7wVb7DNS6deju1NktN1JG77izU4uzl/s1600/IMG_9143.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikTPId4oHL0-6juZS6IAgO0sj1WecgwWvL5zu-64thhMTbx3yRkG9jDKAyTZBrDJTwARx5vl-qTPjG0QA0oLY7ydQZiyGh2c2rznCSeip2DsiQ1C7wVb7DNS6deju1NktN1JG77izU4uzl/s320/IMG_9143.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's one more look at our finished piece, with our Lucky Llama friend!
You never know what fun stuff Betsy is going to pull out when we craft
together... <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgstRupPMUUC3NhXX6dCqLYkStEIM72jmvD_k_TH2-ozy891KExvXbMQV8IF_XR2p0ZEBy9DZo6VNuc6sZ-eQkZgr7edjvjJwHb_ABsq6xPgOr-Y1wpdo-wBn4Bq4N1HfSQzdRIQQXJxb9t/s1600/IMG_9145.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgstRupPMUUC3NhXX6dCqLYkStEIM72jmvD_k_TH2-ozy891KExvXbMQV8IF_XR2p0ZEBy9DZo6VNuc6sZ-eQkZgr7edjvjJwHb_ABsq6xPgOr-Y1wpdo-wBn4Bq4N1HfSQzdRIQQXJxb9t/s320/IMG_9145.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And finally here are both of us with our masterpieces! I loved how they both turned out, the same and yet different! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6M6wALKakAkJDw-nT5bPLvKaInileRyA1QnmbGW2FH47w3Xzi0mJ6eMxqBz-dMwrksyDrHomLgfDzzfyfIkcGqdzp6Gyct3CvO847eZvnpp-9YjneFfC4pf_9nUR9fDyIFyJ7FqFkVmRD/s1600/IMG_9162.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6M6wALKakAkJDw-nT5bPLvKaInileRyA1QnmbGW2FH47w3Xzi0mJ6eMxqBz-dMwrksyDrHomLgfDzzfyfIkcGqdzp6Gyct3CvO847eZvnpp-9YjneFfC4pf_9nUR9fDyIFyJ7FqFkVmRD/s320/IMG_9162.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

After stamping this beautiful flower image we used water color paints to color it in. Then we stamped the stem of the flower on the base piece of card stock in green ink. Then we die cut the flower with the matching die and used some foam adhesive to layer the flower over the stem. Next we added the cute little lady bugs to the background and topped them off with a pearl for added dimension. Then we layered our card as shown above and in no time flat had a beautiful any occasion card!<br />
