One more day......

... 'till I reveal that Blog Candy!!!! I'm hoping to get the post up fairly early but we shall see if my children co-operate. The little one has a cough and I also think she's trying to drop that morning nap so they are both on different schedules right now.

This quick and beautiful card was made with the Rock Princess Cricut Cartridge. There are so many fun and cool cuts on the cartridge but I just LOVE this rose! Best of all I got to use up some more scraps. Next I want to cut this one from patterned papers... I think that would look awesome!

Well, the little one is telling me she's ready to wake up now so I'd better let her out of her crib! See you all tomorrow!

A few more cards?

Whew! The craft fair is over and while the turn out wasn't spectacular I still sold 5 cards and a pair of earrings that I made! After buying my 4 year old daughter a bear, lunch and some raffle tickets I broke even so I can call my day a success! LOL! I thought I'd share a couple more cards that I created. Hopefully tomorrow I can break out all of my new Echo Park Papers and create a great layout. It would feel really good to put together a layout right now but I have two little girls who are trying hard not to nap... oh well... Hope everyone else's weekend has been good too!

I bought this stamp set at Michael's a while ago but wasn't sure HOW I would use it... then I learned about the paint daubers and decided to use the paint on the stamp and I loved the way it looked on the parchment look paper! I also stamped the word "believe" with the paint. Then inked all of my edges with CTMH ink. The inside says "dreams do come true" and I also stamped a little Cinderella-ish shoe from the same set.

So I joined the Unity Stamp Company Facebook Page and they had a contest that you could win a free stamp set, you just had to create a card with one of their stamps. Since I had already planned a stop at Archiver's I picked up this really cute stamp set for only $3.99 so I could play along. I used some left over Echo Park Paper from the A Walk in the Park line from one of my Scrapbook Chicks kits. I didn't win but still had fun making this cute card.

I made this super cute alien with the B is for Boy Cricut Lite cartridge. This is one of my absolute FAVORITE cartridges! It has so many cute images! Anyhow, I cut my little alien at 4" and instead of cutting the pupils I added some googley eyes to make him super silly. The planet the alien is standing on I free hand cut from some "Beer Foam" paper that I originally bought because I thought it looked like Swiss Cheese and I was doing a Wisconsin layout! The black star background was leftover from a Halloween layout and the shooting star is cut from silver mirror paper. I also used a circle punch for my planet and then cut the ring. On the inside I wrote, "Hope your Birthday is out of this world!" I think this is one of my favorite cards!

Well, hopefully my next post will be a fabulous layout, I'm ready to get scrappy! Don't forget to check back often, I'm aiming for October 1st for my big blog candy announcement!!! You won't want to miss it!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

So I've been a card making fool trying to get a bunch of cards made for a craft show on Saturday! Here is a sampling of Christmas cards I've created. If they don't sell I have a good start on my own personal holiday cards, LOL!

This reindeer is from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge cut at 3". I used Christmas Red Stickles to bling his nose and red flocking on his scarf. The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts and I dotted the "i" with a star brad. I also used my i-rock to add the rhinestones to the card.

Santa was created using the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I cut him at 4". I used the red flocking on his suit. He is so soft and fuzzy!

This Christmas Tree is a die cut from a Paper Stack (K & Company I think) and so is the paper. I used some CTMH Liquid Glass on the ornaments to make them pop.

This reindeer is similar to the first one. For this card I used my Glimmer Mist to turn the sentiments background green. I also used the i-rock to add a few gems to this card. I also used my Cuttlebug to emboss the white background sheet. I like how the plate didn't have to be holiday themed to look fantastic on this card!

I use so thrilled with this last card. The wreath is cut from the Christmas Cheer cartridge at 3 1/2". Then I used an already embossed piece of green card stock to do the leaves that are layered. Next I cut the word "Joy" using the Opposites Attract cartridge at 1 3/4" from gold glitter cardstock. I used the Christmas Red Stickles to color the berries after I applied them to the wreath. Then I embossed the red background with the Devine Swirl folder.

Thanks for looking at my cards! Remember to check back October 1st for detail about the blog candy giveaway... right now I can tell you that I will be including a brand new Glue Glider Pro in the package so stay tuned!

Some New Cards

Ok, I'm FINALLY posting some of those cards I made! I made a few more today with my new 3 Birds on Parade cartridge and I need to get pics of those up too! I am in LOVE with this cartridge. It has so many great titles and the silly birds are so much fun! Enough about that cartridge though, on with the cards I actually have photographed!

This card was made with one of my favorite Cricut cartridges, Happy Hauntings! When I saw the witches shoe I got so excited! I have plans to make a huge "If the Shoe Fits" wall hanging for my entry way! I'm also planning on using several of the cuts for Home Decor this Halloween. I'm ready to bring up those boxes... maybe this weekend... Back to the card. I cut the boot at 3" and I used a scrap of mummy wrapping looking paper for the background. It's hard to see in the photo but I used my i-rock to add some black rhinestones to the button holes. It looks soooo cool in person! You can never have too much bling! I also used my new Inkadinkado Black Embossing Powder to emboss my sentiment. It is so smooth and shiny! Love it!

This baby card was made with scraps of paper from a Close to My Heart kit and this adorable elephant stamp that I found in Michael's $.99 bin! I embossed the card stock with three of my Cuttlebug Folders. I like the way I can add texture with out making the card seem too busy. Then I had to add a touch of bling with some yellow rhinestones and my lovely i-rock tool!

This last card was also created with a Close to My Heart paper kit. I wanted to make a Birthday card that could be given to either a man or a woman. I *think* I achieved that here! I used one of my Martha Stewart punches on the border strip, a Cuttlebug folder on the brown squares and my i-rock once again for the bling!

If you need any of the detail on any of the products I used, please feel free to send me an e-mail. I will happily check my stash and give you specific names of Cuttlebug folders or paper lines if I have that info still!

Just a side note, I think I'm going to hold my 100 follower blog candy until October 1st. If I make it to 150 by then I will have 2 packages to give away so encourage your friends to become followers! I've also joined the "Networked Blogs" on Facebook so look waaaaaay down the left side and you can have my blog sent right to your newsfeed every time I update!

Excited for the Imagine Launch

So last night and today ended up being oh so very busy... My 4 year old managed to slightly dislocate her elbow when playing last night so we ended up taking her for X-rays this morning. Needless to say, I haven't had much time to upload and edit my photos! Hopefully I can do some a little later :)

So I was browsing at Cricut Shopping when I noticed the new "Cricut Imagine" category! They have added all of the newest cartridges to the store! There are 12 art cartridges and 12 color and pattern cartridges. I believe the MSRP on the art cartridges is $89.99 and the MSRP on the color and pattern ones is $49.99. These are a few of my favorites:

Nursery Tales - full of gorgeous baby themed images

Lori's Garden - Birds and Flowers and Butterflies - oh my!

Snow Angel - Super cute winter images

Best Friends - Fun girly images!

Blast Off - This *may* replace Mickey Font as one of my FAVES! Love it!

So head on over to the Cricut Shopping site and browse around. I am really looking forward to watching the launch on HSN! It will broadcast here in the Central time zone at 11:00 pm on Monday Sept. 13th.

Cutters Creek & Ecstasy Crafts

Today’s project is featuring some of the gorgeous Ecstasy Crafts cut-outs that Kim has started stocking in the Cutters Creek store. Now these exact ones aren’t available *yet* but I’m sure that if you ask Kim really nice to add the “Charlie’s Ark” line to the store she might be persuaded. I personally think these are soooooo cute! The sheet I have is the “Sweet Dreams” one but there are many others including: Closest of Friends, Sharing a Special Moment, and Gardening Friends.

These images are so simple to assemble and look stunning in the end. I made a layout so you could see these aren’t just for card makers (although they make adorable cards too). I took the photos so you could see the top and side views since it is so hard to capture the beautiful dimension in a photo.

Once I assembled all four of the characters that came on the sheet I decided that the little girl holding the teddy bear made me think of Christmas morning! Also the little elephant asleep on the present really sealed it! I used photos from Christmas 2008.

I’ve had the “Christmas” title in my stash for about 3 years now and I decided it looked so cute with the papers I chose. I cut out the word “Morning” with my Cricut Nursery Rhymes
cartridge and used the Christmas Cheer cartridge for the tree (It’s actually 2 layered together).

I also used my 1/8” Scor-Tape to adhere my ric-rac to my layout. The gold chipboard star was sprayed with Yellow Daisy Glimmer Mist.

I also used my i-rock to bling out the little file folder tab. It came from a box of goodies from one of the Fancy Pants Christmas lines along with the star. I love how quick and easy the new i-rock tool makes it to add some sparkle to my pages! It heats up in less than 30 seconds and then sets each gem or stud in 3-5 seconds! No messing around with adhesive because it's already on the back of the gems!

Shopping List:
Ecstasy Crafts
Nursery Rhymes
Christmas Cheer
Scor-Tape
Yellow Daisy Glimmer Mist
